Hello Anacondas Families!

Thanks to all those who attended the Parent Meetings. The slide presentation and handouts are posted on our website under the Resources section.

If you were unable to attend these meetings, please make time to review the information and presentation about our season. Pick up your swimmers bags and t-shirt instructions on Friday 5/24 between 6p-8p at the pool.

Here are the important updates you need for the coming week:

Team T-Shirts

Please order your team t-shirt from SquadLocker ASAP! Reference the information given at the parents meeting and use your gift cards.

Volunteer Sign Up

Volunteer registration is now open! Remember that each family is required to fill 3 volunteer jobs during the season. Please login to the website and sign up for those jobs as soon as possible. This helps us know what is needed for each meet.

Volunteer roles have been assigned based on preference and availability. To see your assigned role: login to our website, click "Welcome (your name)" on the top right of the screen, and select "my account". From there, click your name from the list of your family members and you will see your roles listed in the right side column. If you do not see a job role listed, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assign you a role.

Volunteer Job Training

We are offering training sessions for all volunteers at the Amberly pool. Please try to attend on one of these times and dates, especially if you are a new volunteer or learning a new position.

Intrasquad/Mock Meet

The Mock Meet will be held on Tuesday, June 4th starting at 5pm. The meet will end close to 8pm. RSVP/Declare your attendance no later than Friday, May 31st.

Swimmers arrive at: 4:30pm (or as soon as possible, we know kids still have school)

Volunteers arrive at: 4:30pm (or as soon as possible)

Team Picture: 5:00pm; wear your Anacondas team swimsuit or a black swimsuit

Meet format: This meet will include only individual events. Getting updated times for all of our swimmers will help the coaches build line-ups for our first meet! Every swimmer will swim every individual event (6&u will swim free, back, and breast only). We will move fast to keep within our designated time frame of ending around 8pm.

Meet order: Free, Back, Breast, Fly; each stroke will be swam from youngest to oldest, boys then girls of each age group. You may leave after your swimmer(s) have finished their last event (breast for 6&u, fly for everyone else).

Declaring Attendance for Meets

All meets are now open for parents to declare their swimmer’s attendance in SwimTopia.

Meet sign up will close on the Friday prior to the meet at 11:59pm. No late entries will be accepted.

SwimTopia mobile app

As a reminder, we push a lot of urgent info out through the SwimTopia app. This includes last-minute changes to practices due to weather. Please download the app and login using your SwimTopia account. Make sure to enable text or push notifications. This app will also be helpful to see meet lineups and results during the season.

Important dates coming up:

• No practice on Memorial Day, Monday May 27th
• Intrasquad / “mock” meet - Tues June 4th 5pm-8pm
• First regular season meet - Home vs. Wellsley - Tues June 11th 5pm
