Let’s hear it for our Swimmers of the Week:

Adam Galvez

Owen Gao

Angie Lapin

Here are the important updates you need for the coming week:

Swimmer Declarations and Changes for Meets

When you declare your swimmer’s attendance at a meet, you are committing to swim ALL events in which your child is entered, including relays. We had a number of swimmers leave before they were to swim the Free Relay at the end of the night, and had to scratch these relays. This could be the difference between winning and losing a meet, and is very disappointing for the kids who stay and want to swim their relay. If you know you absolutely cannot stay until the end, PLEASE put a note in the text field when you declare your swimmer saying not to enter your child in the last relay.

Given the number of swimmers on our team and the opposing teams, the Butterfly and Free Relay events will always start after 9pm on meet nights.

Last-minute lineup changes are incredibly difficult for our coaches and volunteers, and can cause significant confusion and delay on deck during the meet. Please help us by communicating any changes to your child’s availability for a meet as far in advance as possible.

Volunteers Needed!

We are in desperate need of Kid Pusher and Clerk of Course volunteers at the upcoming Haddon Hall meet, particularly 2nd shift volunteers. Please consider signing up, we need you! If you need help or have questions about volunteer signups, please email us at [email protected]

Our next Meet - Tuesday June 18th AWAY at Haddon Hall

We will send out a separate email with location, arrival times, and more specific details by Sunday.

  • Sign up your child or decline by today, Friday June 14th at 11:30pm.
  • Bring goggles, refillable water bottle, sunscreen, towels, black swimsuit with Anacondas logo, food or money for concessions, a towel or small chair to sit
  • Write swimmer name on their upper right back with Sharpie marker. We will have markers at Volunteer Check-in also.
  • Supervise your swimmer to ensure they are being safe and respectful throughout the entire meet.
  • Swimmers should stay near their age group tent area as much as possible. Have your child communicate with their kid pusher if they need to leave their tent area so your swimmer doesn’t miss their time to swim. Reminder that volunteers have limited ability to find swimmers who are not staying in their designated areas.
  • Ensure your child cleans their space and gathers their belongings before leaving.

Exciting Opportunity with the US Olympic Swim Team and the NC Courage

From the TSA: The NC Football Club (NCFC) has invited the entire TSA to participate in a collaborative event at WakeMed Soccer Park prior to the women's NC Courage soccer match on Sunday July 7th. As some of you may already know, the US Olympic Swim team will be training in North Carolina at the Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC) during the first 2 weeks of July.

The NCFC has organized a Q&A panel featuring current members of the US Olympic Swim team, specifically for the TSA swimmers! Our swimmers will have the opportunity to ask some members of the recently qualified Olympic team questions about their path to the Olympics and their prior and current experience with the Olympic games and the recent qualifiers. There may even be some local athletes present that will have recently competed in the Olympic qualifiers which will be held the last two weeks of June.

NCFC is offering FREE ADMISSION to ALL TSA SWIMMERS and heavily discounted tickets, 1 concession and 1 merch voucher per TSA family for the Q&A event and the NC Courage soccer game to immediately follow at 4:30pm. If you are interested in attending, follow the link below to secure tickets ASAP. This is a first come, first served event.

Represent your club and show your support by joining us in a once in a lifetime panel with members of the US Olympic Swim Team, in collaboration with the NC Courage. This is an incredible opportunity to hear from and interact with some of the best athletes in the world. Click here (https://fevo-enterprise.com/event/Tarheelswim2) to purchase your tickets!
