Anacondas 2026 Newsletter #2
Hello Anacondas Families!
Thanks to all those who attended the Parent Meetings. The slide presentation and handouts are posted on our website under the Resources section.
If you were unable to attend these meetings, please make time to review the information and presentation about our season..
Here are the important updates you need for the coming week:
Volunteer Sign Up
Volunteer registration is now open! Remember that volunteer jobs have changed to a point system this year. Each family must volunteer for 6 job points by the end of the season. Please login to the website and sign up for those jobs as soon as possible. This helps us know what is needed for each meet.
Volunteer sign up closes on Monday, the day before each meet.
Volunteer Job Training
We are offering training sessions for all volunteers at the Amberly pool during practices on Monday June 1st at 5 and 6 pm at the back of the lap pool near the gate. Please try to attend one of these times, especially if you are a new volunteer or learning a new position.
Team swim suit
Anacondas team suits are required for all swim meets. Please visit Kiefer Aquatics on Maynard Rd in Cary for our suit; see website for details.
Declaring Attendance for Meets
All meets are now open for parents to declare their swimmer’s attendance in SwimTopia.
Meet sign up will close on the Friday prior to the meet at 11:59pm. No late entries will be accepted.
We need everyone to declare for each meet. Even if your swimmer cannot attend, please go into SwimTopia and select that option under the Meet Signup.
In Swimtopia, go to Meets & Events -> Signup Calendar -> Click on the Meet Entry button for each meet. You will see your swimmer(s) listed; please select whether they are Attending or Not Attending the meet and click Save.
SwimTopia mobile app
As a reminder, we push a lot of urgent info out through the SwimTopia app. This includes last-minute changes to practices due to weather. Please download the app and login using your SwimTopia account. Make sure to enable text or push notifications. This app will also be helpful to see meet lineups and results during the season. Download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play .
